Happy International Coffee Day!!  If you're like me, then you cannot live without coffee.  Right now I am enjoying the pumpkin season and I search high and low for that pumpkin creamer.  You know the one.  I have been known to stock up year round on this liquid gold and store it in my freezer so that I can drink it all throughout the year.  My ultimate favorite coffee drink is a pumpkin spice latte.  So this is my time.  What is your favorite??

In celebration of International Coffee Day, which is today, please enjoy a FREE coffee cozie pattern designed by yours truly.  Every coffee needs a nice monogrammed sweater.  This design is knit in the round with bulky yarn and then the letter is added after using the duplicate stitch.  These cuties make perfect gifts for that coffee lover in your life!  They also fit cans and bottles too. Win, win!

SUPPLIES

Size US 7 double pointed needles (DPN)

Some bulky yarn....you hardly need any!  So this is a great stash buster. I love to use Knit Picks Mighty Stitch Bulky.  It feels so nice to knit with and the stitch definition is excellent, plus it is super affordable!

PATTERN

Using size 7 DPNs, cast on 36 stitches and join to begin working in the round, making sure your stitches are not twisted.

Rounds 1-6: *knit 2, purl 2*, repeat * until the beginning of round.

Knit in the round for 20 rounds.

Do 6 more rounds of *knit 2, purl 2* and then bind off in ribbing.

Decide on your letter.  I love using the book, "Knitted Letters: Make Personalized Gifts and Accents with Creative Typography Based Projects," which can be found on Amazon.  It includes many charted letters and numbers in different fonts.  So cool!  

Then duplicate stitch your letter on in a contrasting color.  Purl Soho has a great tutorial on their site if you need help doing the duplicate stitch.  I just love how it ends up looking like it was knitted right into your project!
